Since Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, Google has supported external USB cameras on its mobile operating system, Android. Third-party apps have also enabled users to connect their device to a computer and use it as a webcam, but Google appears to be taking this a step further by incorporating this feature as an inbuilt part of Android, which may arrive with Android 14.
